Frequently Asked Questions

Who can apply for the apprenticeship program?

Our program is designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, including youth aged 15-25, adults aged 25-65, unemployed persons, and those facing financial disadvantage. We welcome all First Nations people ready to commit to a 4-year electrical apprenticeship.

How long is the apprenticeship program?

The electrical apprenticeship runs for 4 years, combining on-the-job training with TAFE education. Apprentices are employed full-time and paid from day one.

Is there a cost to participate?

No, there is no cost to participants. Apprentices are employed full-time with competitive wages while they learn. TAFE fees are covered, and all necessary tools and equipment are provided.

What support is provided during the program?

We provide comprehensive mentoring led by First Nations Directors, TAFE coordination and support, assistance with work-related challenges, family support, and ongoing career guidance throughout your apprenticeship.

How can I donate to support your work?
